Join the Sea of Hands

I joined the Sea of Hands today, and pledged my support for real and effective engagement between non-Indigenous Australia and Indigenous Australia to create change that improves the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and recognises Indigenous self-determination.

This was on the recommendation of a commenter to my previous post on the implications of the Howard government's track record of tax cut election sweeteners in their budgets for the deplorable situation in Indigenous health (amongst other things). The picture above is of my hand, which joined many, many others in the virtual arena.

I urge you to do the same.
